Dorset Children's Hospice

Julia’s House in Broadstone, Dorset's first Children’s Hospice, was officially opened on 30 March 2006 by Elaine Perks, the daughter of Julia Perks who had the original vision for the hospice. Life-limited and life-threatened children from all over Dorset, the majority of whom are not expected to live to adulthood, attend for day care and some overnight stays.

The dedicated team of nurses and carers support the children and their families in their own homes giving a much needed break to parents who face the pressures of meeting the complex medical needs of their children, for weeks, months and often years.

Julia’s House will be most grateful for gift donations of any amount, but anyone donating £50 or more can have their name carved into one of the bricks.
