LIFETIME helps provide the quality of life for children whose lifespan is likely to be limited and who have complex health care needs and for their families. Servicing the Bath and Bristol area it comprises specialist paediatric nurses and child psychologists supported by hospital based consultants and senior nurse managers.

Once Lifetime is admitted to the team they work to reduce the stress in the lives of all the family members and to improve their psychological well being. They provide educational support to enable parents to feel more confident in caring for their child, they co-ordinate services and liaise with relevant agencies such as schools and social services.

An additional aspect of their work is that they provide networking as this reduces a families feeling of isolation and despair.
