Brain Haemorage: In some forms of brain Haemorage the breathing centres of the brain are affected this may lead to inability for the messages to the brain to be understood tracheotomy and then long term ventilation may result.
Non Accidental Injury: In some cases of shaken baby syndrome the injury caused to the brain may lead to starvation of oxygen brain therefore haemorages may also occur and at times this will require ventilator support.
